Is SIX historically accurate? ›

Six is based on real historical events and figures, but it does take artistic liberties in its portrayal of these characters. The musical incorporates some elements of historical fact, such as the marriages, divorces, and executions of the six queens.

The look and sound of each queen is modeled after one or more real-life pop stars, including Beyonce, Lizzo, Adelle and Avril Lavigne. Lavigne and Lily Allen, for example, were the inspirations for Lever's Anne Boleyn character, she says. “My queen is definitely the pop-punk queen.”

SIX is recommended for ages 10 & up. The age recommendation is there for guidance only, with any younger patrons attending at the discretion of accompanying adults but must have a ticket and be able to sit unsupported in a seat, accompanied by an adult.

For the full 18 months that Broadway was shut down, SIX fans (known as the Queendom) shared their love and support for the show and each other across social media. It was inspiring.

Also, I wish the show were longer. This could just be my deep enjoyment of the show, but I wish it were a bit longer.
