Robson C Um grupo de jovens sai do seu baile de formatura, se perdem e acabam sofrendo um acidente. Enquanto parte deles sai em busca de ajuda, outro fica para cuidar do motorista do outro veículo. Não demora e surge a família Sawyer. Este filme acabou com o Leatherface. Que Leatherface usava maquiagem, isso já era nítido no primeiro filme, na cena do jantar, onde ele usa batom e blush. Mas aqui, talvez utilizando a inspiração em Ed Gein e no Buffalo Bill, do Silêncio dos Inocentes, ele usa uma persona e máscara mais feminina. Há inclusive uma espécie de roupa de pele humana pendurada na porta do banheiro. Novamente, temos uma nova família para o Leatherface, desta vez comandada pro Matthew McConaughey, que faz uma interpretação a la Nicolas Cage. E acaba sendo a coisa mais interessante de tudo. Os personagens dos jovens vítimas são chatos e rasos. Nem a Renée Zellweger salva. Além disso, o roteiro apela para as cenas mais absurdas possíveis, como a do drive-thru e a sempre presente cena do jantar. Com certeza, o filme que quase acabou com a franquia e o mito do Leatherface.
